Welcome to Woo's page
- About Me:
Hi everyone, My name is Woo Moon and I am a 4th year student in the dual degree program in the department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and the College of Osteopathic Medicine. My interest in medicine include internal medicine and cardiology, my research interest is in the mechanism of the human RNA Polymerase II.
- Past 3 years:
In the past three years of the program, I've finished the first two years of classes at the medical school (including Step 1 national boards) and one year of graduate courses. Since August 5th 2006, I've been married to my wonderful wife Erica. She is a dual degree student at the University of Michigan Dental school.
- My research interest:
Currently I am working under Dr. Maria Zavodszky and Dr. Zach Burton to further understand the mechanism of the eurkaryotic RNA Polymerase II. My current project is to show the flexibility of the yeast RNA Polymerase II by using FIRST and other methods to understand the regions of flexibility, which will shed some light into how the enzyme might behave.
